Gay Tours
For gay lore, take one of local historian Trevor Hailey’s (415-550-8110) “Cruisin’ the Castro” walking tours, a 3.5-hour excursion (including lunch at Caffe Luna Piena) that covers San Francisco Gay history back to 1849. FOOT Tours also offers a tour of the Castro. Enjoy jokes, quizzes, and games and have a great time walking through one of the most beautiful and fun neighborhoods in the city!  Municipal Railway (Muni)
The MUNI system consists of all cable cars, streetcars, trains (Muni Metro), conventional buses, and electric buses that run within the city limits; all operate daily until 1AM. The nicest drivers are often on the cable-car lines, where many delight in entertaining the tourists.
